Excited to Meet You!
Jay Kihiu, Licensed Massage Therapist, ACSM Certified Personal Trainer and Health Coach
Jay is a lifelong health and wellness enthusiast with several years of professional experience in the health space.
With a penchant for writing and creativity, Jay first received her undergraduate degree in Writing for Screen and Television from the University of Southern California.
While in school, she channeled her love of fitness by working as a personal trainer (American College of Sports Medicine certified) for three years, learning the science and personal skills required to guide clients from all backgrounds and fitness levels through the transformative benefits of physical training. She was also personally trained and hired as a group fitness trainer by Adam Gilchrist, co-founder of the now $400 million worldwide fitness brand F45, as he opened the first franchise locations on the American west coast.
Upon graduating, she worked for a podcast start-up. After a year of explosive growth, she was brought on to work for Spotify in the start-up’s acquisition.
Even while navigating her demanding career in entertainment. Jay still took on fitness clients on the side and received her Health and Wellness Coach certification from the American Council on Exercise to supplement her knowledge of nutrition, disease prevention and behavior modification. She expanded her model online and was still able to guide her clients’ nutritional and fitness habits remotely throughout the pandemic.
It was during the chaos of the pandemic that Jay finally decided to fully devote herself to her lifelong love of improving human health and well-being. She increasingly focused on the power of recovery and relaxation in the role of healing and good health.
Jay graduated from the Northern Virginia School of Massage Therapy and now works as a Licensed Massage Therapist treating clients on a deeper level than before. She blends her background in health and exercise science with therapeutic massage techniques to boost physical recovery from injury and promote greater mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
Most recently, Jay has successfully completed a pre- medical Post Baccalaureate from George Washington University. During this time, she also worked part-time as a medical assistant at a plastic surgery office in Washington D.C. She plans to matriculate to medical school in 2025, still practicing massage therapy, further incorporating and deepening the considerable foundation in health and wellness she has already spent her entire life building.
